Dainty Details - Flip-Flop Fun - Beach Wedding

As the leaves start to change color and summer drifts into fall, I sit here feeling a bit sad that we only got a handful of the super hot days I am used to out here in the East Bay. So I thought I would cling on to summer as long as I could and post another fun find about a sweet sandy detail for beach weddings.

I don't know about you, but when I see a wet sandy shore, where the ocean has just washed up on it, I want to run to it and immediately carve my initials in it as big as possible, and of course surrounded them by a fat heart.

This idea I am about to share is borrowed from an adorable couple who recently got married at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. These two provided all of their guests sandals (or as I prefer to call them flip-flops) to wear to the ceremony. Each pair had the bride's initial on one side and the groom's initial on the other so as guests walked across the sand, the newlyweds were commemorated in style wherever they went. How cool is that?!


Other fun flip-flops I have seen also write Just Married in the sand, but I personally think the initials are super darn cute.

Who Doesn't Love Shoes?

So late Sunday night I was scouring Zappos.com in search for the perfect pair of shoes and I ran across all of these amazing shoes from Badgley Mischka and thought - these would make fabulous wedding shoes! I grabbed images of them and this morning I started writing up this post.

And sometimes, when it comes to my blog writing, I tend to get a little sidetracked. I took a mini break and instead of finishing this post, I got lost in catching up on some of my favorite blogs. I headed on over to Junebug Weddings and WHOA! there in front of me are the exact shoes I was about to post about! Here is the link to the fabulous shoes that Christy of What Junebug Loves found and then I posted some more below. See, great minds really do think alike! ;)

I tend to like sassy shoes under a stunning dress, so that is why the adorable pink shoes are posted here. I am also a big fan of the something blue being your shoes, but no matter what color you choose, any of these Badgley Mischka ones would be perfect.
